Our Governance

Top End Aboriginal Health Research Alliance is an unincorporated joint venture, enabled by a Memorandum of Understanding between its members, with a clear purpose to facilitate Aboriginal-led research activity that makes a difference to improve the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal people in the Top End of the Northern Territory.

Top End Aboriginal Health Research Alliance is overseen by a Board, consisting of executives from each partner organisation, and two independent members. The chairperson of TEAHRA must be an Aboriginal Board member, and the delegate of a nominated health service partner. The Board is currently chaired by the Chief Executive Officer of Miwatj Health Aboriginal Corporation. The Board is responsible for setting the strategic direction of TEAHRA and monitoring implementation and progress of the strategic plan.
